Transcript:

Hello, my name is Angela Ellman. My name sign is 'A' handshape, starting on the shoulder closest to the chin and sweeping out over the shoulder, ending in a '5' handshape. I am currently doing conference planning and ASL teaching. I received my Business Administration degree from Colorado Tech University. I am currently a Master's in Sign Language Education student at Gallaudet University. I own Bella & Bash Consulting, focusing on ASL teaching & conference planning. I have been coordinating conferences and trade shows since 2003. I have contracted with the National Council of Independent Living and The National Association of the Deaf to coordinate annual conferences.

I am an adjunct professor and ASL Lab staff at Augustana University. As an adjunct instructor, I planned, created, organized, and taught American Sign Language I and II. I currently work in the ASL lab, tutoring and supporting ASL students, interpreting students' homework, and doing other work. I also mentor interpreting students. I am creative in researching and finding multiple ways to teach sign language and meet each student's needs, including using gifs and videos to create presentations. I am skilled in assessing and addressing areas for improvement. Teaching ASL to students is my passion. Watching ASL students grow from knowing little to nothing to signing complete sentences and holding a conversation is amazing to watch.
